Law #86 To
circumcise all males on the eighth day after their birth
Lev. 12:3 “And in the eighth day (after giving birth to a male child), the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.”
This is more than a Law. It was a part of the Covenant established with Abraham in Gen. 17:10, generations before Moses was born. We were instructed to circumcise our male child before a Law was ever given. Why? Gen. 17:11 says, “It shall be a token of the Covenant between Me and you.” We were sanctified as His people before the Law. Before there was a standard of righteousness to abide by, we were still His chosen. This is His mercy & grace because even if you are not aware of His Laws, you are still His chosen, although ignorant of the fact.
